Joseph S. Schuchert has more than 35 years of legal experience focused largely on investment-related matters. He has a substantial background in securities law, having served as a principal in a private equity fund, a hedge fund, and a family investment office. Joe’s practice includes both business litigation matters and corporate transactional matters involving corporate formations, mergers and acquisitions and financing activities. He also counsels national and local companies in connection with employment law issues.
Joe sits on a number of corporate boards and is regularly called upon to advise corporate boards and their members regarding board governance. In addition to practicing law, Joe has formed and managed venture capital and hedge funds and still advises similar entities.
Joe earned his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law.
